There seems to be a lot of people interested in copying Xbox games; in fact, how to copy these game discs is one of the questions we are asked the most frequently. Now, we all know how to copy audio CDs and we do it all the time. However, can you copy Xbox games the same way; and if you can, how do you do it?

We?re going to tell you how to do this easily so that you can start copying Xbox games. There is one thing that we need to tell you beforehand though.

We do not, repeat, do not encourage anyone to nor do we endorse the illegal copying of Xbox games which you do not already own. The information we?re going to give you is meant to help you make backup copies of your own games. This is legal and is in fact a very good idea, since it will make sure that you still have a copy of your games in case a disc gets damaged.

So now, let?s get into it. There?s not going to be a lot of complex tasks here, so relax. It?s actually quite easy to make backup copies of your games.

You may wonder why you can?t use the same program that you use to copy music CDs to copy your Xbox games.

The short answer is that copying Xbox games takes some technologies which your existing CD burning program doesn?t have.

Xbox and other games are encrypted for copyright protection purposes. Without the right software installed on your computer, you won?t be able to read the data on the game disc. If your computer can?t read the disc, it can?t copy it.

Thankfully, software has been developed to get around this encryption and make copies of video game discs. Once you?ve installed the software, you?ll be able to read those discs ? so you can start copying Xbox games.

Once you have downloaded and installed the software, the rest is a snap. Just put the Xbox game disc in your computer and the software will read the data and make a disc image on your hard drive. Then insert a blank DVD-R and the software will burn the image to this disc!

It?s so simple that literally anyone can do it.

You don?t have to spend a lot of money for these programs either. The best ones available cost between $30 and $40; some companies charge more than $100, but the higher price tag doesn?t mean better software in this case.

This is an easy way to start copying Xbox games on your computer. It?s easy and you can make backup copies of all your games.
