There are so many different laptops out there; it probably can get confusing at times. Now, if you are looking for a small compact version of the laptop, you might want to consider one of the Samsung laptops that are available on the market.
The newest of the Samsung laptops would be the 10 inch N120. This 10 inch net book comes with all the normal specs that all net books or laptops come with. One exception that makes it stand out a little more is its sleek design, lightness and its extremely long battery life that it offers. It has a 1. 60 GHz Intel Atom processor, Windows XP Home, 1 GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive.
This laptop is made of durable plastic and comes in black or white with a matte finish. Its sleek and compact design is attractive from any angle. And its 2. 8 pounds make it light enough to carry with you wherever you go.
The 10. 1 screen is a very nice screen for Samsung laptops and has a ratio of 16:9 which is ideal for those who wish to watch movies on the go. The major problem with such a small screen though, is if you try to multi-task it is a little hard to do. You find yourself scrolling to the right or to the left a lot. This small computer also has three speakers, but do not think that makes the sound of high quality. It is probably just your average sound you find on most net-books. Rather tinny and there is no base. But it should be adequate for normal use.
It is hard to believe that a computer of this size would have a standard size keyboard, but it does. It is a pretty good keyboard with only one little quirk. And that would be that the Windows key happens to be located on the right side of the keyboard and not on the left side.
Considering that the processor on these Samsung laptops really are not that powerful, the performance of this model is more than adequate for those who are just looking to surf the web, do word processing or listen to some music. But it is not advisable to consider using this computer as your main computer.
Another model that is fast becoming one of the more popular Samsung laptops is the Samsung Q45. This is a 12. 1 inch model which has the Intel Core Duo 2 as its processor which enables this model to have some considerable speed and power. The screen has very good resolution something not often found on other laptops. Some of the specs for this model is Windows Vista installed, a hard drive that has 160 GB, it has RAM of 2 GB, comes with a nice DVD drive.
This is a very attractive model done in a variety of shades of black and done in a glossy finish that has hints of silver sparkle in it that is quite eye catching. The sound quality is probably better than most notebooks, especially when the laptop is placed on a hard surface where the sound will bounce off of the surface. The performance of this model is quite good and the speed is far better than their model with the Core 1.
